Celebrating TAKERU’s 15th anniversary as a vocalist, TAKERU (ex-SuG, sleepyhead) released a self-cover of SuG’s Sakura Ame (桜雨), and will also appear as a guest at San Japan in San Antonio, TX.
A rare collaboration
Vocalist SHIN (ex-ViViD) and TAKERU collaborated on the cover of Sakura Ame. The video debuted worldwide on August 27, 2022.
Released initially on SuG’s 2016 mini-album VIRGIN, this cover is a special arrangement created for TAKERU’s 15th-anniversary best-of album STREET GOTHIC STYLE. STREET GOTHIC STYLE was released earlier this month on August 3.
An overseas appearance
Shortly after the video’s release, vocalist TAKERU appears as a special guest at San Japan in San Antonio, TX. The convention takes place September 2-4, 2022. TAKERU performs live in concert at San Japan on September 3. An additional ticket is not required, but guests must carry a convention badge to enter.
