You read that correctly. The famous car company owns a restaurant, and from January 6, MIYAVI’s sake will be served at their Mercedes me Tokyo “UPSTAIRS” restaurant in Roppongi.

Tentatively, the announcement for MIYAVI’s sake lists two items on the restaurant’s menu, including—”MIYAVI SAKE STANDARD special set” and “MIYAVI SAKE LIGHT special set”. Little information has been revealed about what each set includes, but both will come with a special gift that is limited in stock.

About the restaurant itself, “UPSTAIRS” resides on the second floor of the Mercedes me Tokyo concept showroom for Mercedes-Benz, the famous car manufacturer. Primarily, this impressive space is used to showcase its current line of cars, as well as futuristic design concepts.

On the ground floor, there is a cafe called “DOWNSTAIRS” where you can enjoy hot drinks and sandwiches. In our minds, a Mercedes-Benz is a fairly luxurious car to own, so it may feel daunting to waltz up to the showroom for brunch, but according to the website, it’s a place “where you can enjoy reasonably priced food and drinks in a warm atmosphere at any time”. The “UPSTAIRS” restaurant menu revolves around western cuisine including pizza and pasta from 980 yen, as well as an afternoon tea set for 4,500 yen, which really is reasonable—especially for city dining. To avoid disappointment, it is recommended that you reserve a table.

We probably shouldn’t tell you, but you also can order this sake online if you live in Japan.
