On November 29, Kaminagi Alice performed “Act 3” of their symphonic metal set on YouTube and now they have cut an album “Nocturnal Symphony” with songs from the performance.
Notably, clashing orchestral classical instruments of a violin and harpsichord, with electric guitar and drums, is no easy task. Yet, they pull off this feat with breathtaking speed and beauty. So it was the case at entertainment venue Section 9 in Tokyo for that one-night livestream.
Furthermore, this ensemble is composed of familiar names in the Japanese rock and metal scene: “Mary’s Blood” support guitarist YASHIRO; “ApiDol.” guitarist Fana; and former drummer of “Girls Rock Band Kakumei”, JUNNA. While also led by newcomer, metal vocalist Kannagi. Including participation of Ichinose on bass from “Aoi Ichigo” and Syllasu Kotoha, violinist and cosplayer.
From their YouTube channel, get a sampling of the wonderfully, wicked tunes here.
Unfortunately, the stream is no longer available officially, so consider picking up the songs on the mini-album, Nocturnal Symphony.
