The rise of COVID-19 and safety concerns have caused VERSAILLES to postpone the release of their 10th single EMPEROR. The band planned to release the single on July 15 alongside works from vocalist KAMIJO and guitarist HIZAKI. However, the nationwide state of emergency has made it impossible for them to prepare physical copies of the CDs by that date. Consequently, KAMIJO’s album PERSONA and HIZAKI grace project’s single PAVANE will be delayed as well.

The band left a statement on Cheatu Agency, the official website of the label the musicians operate out of. The statement doesn’t include a new release date or an estimated time of arrival, nor the prospect of a digital release. However, they do have a few comforting words for the fans who are surely saddened by the news.
