gulu gulu released their first mini-album gulu gulu Ryuushutsu Ongen Shuu on May 5, however, before its release they also delivered a preview showcasing the band’s playful and fairytale-like sound. You will find countless growls fill the majority of the fast and hard-hitting tracks along with lyrics based on vocalist Ai’s real-life experience!
From the mini-album, the heavy growl songs that stick out are Living Dead End (リビングデッド・エンド), Kaebin (火炎瓶), and Kagerate Buta (汚れた豚). And the most fairytale-like songs consist of “‘ ‘ – Mashiro” (「 」- まっしろ –) and “Oyasumi.” (おやすみ。), with the ballad “‘Akunin’“ (「悪人」) bringing some variation into the mix.
You can pick up gulu gulu Ryuushutsu Ongen Shuu in either Siren or Living Dead edition. However, it should be noted that the content of them differs slightly; some songs are exclusive to its edition and the track order varies as well. Just make sure to double-check the tracklist before ordering your copy.
gulu gulu’s artist photos accompany the mini-album with each of the members reflected in a mirror. The purple hue surrounding them gives off a dreamy effect that is both cool and stylish.
