Next month will see RAZOR release its upcoming album Okite on May 27 instead of May 6 due to the coronavirus outbreak, it will also be their first release with new drummer NIKKY. They have also given us an insight into what we can expect with the band revealing the album trailer, and music video for third song Ashita Moshi Boku ga Doko ka de Kuchite. It finds them performing the rapid, upbeat, and heart-wrenching song while surrounded in darkness as red petals sit on the floor.
The music video is simple but visually powerful as footage of nature and everyday life is interspersed with the members performing the passionate song, giving rise to intense emotions. These elements, combined with piano and symphonic ornaments, create the harmonious Ashita Moshi Boku ga Doko ka de Kuchite, in its entirety. Fortunately enough, we can also hear how this will fit in with album Okite in the following trailer:
Album Okite has a total of 12 songs, including the previously released Kanzen Muketsu, and a DVD with the music video for Ashita Moshi Boku ga Doko ka de Kuchite. In addition, this will be drummer NIKKY’s first release as a member of RAZOR after his previous band, AIIS, disbanded back in February. He then joined RAZOR in mid-March as the band revealed their new artist photos for album Okite.
For the most part, the album is consistently heavy and full of energy with my personal favorites consisting of fourth song Deracination, fifth song Kamisama no Irony, and eighth song MAD INVISIBLE. What’s your favorite?
