Develop One’s Faculties will soon release their third album INVERSE REVERSE with new bassist Hiromu on March 11 and have now revealed a song trailer to prepare for its imminent arrival!
Their hectic and chaotic instrumentation shines through with SevenStars and Shinjitsu no Kuro, just to name a few. Amongst that, there’s also the opportune moment to slow it down a little with songs such as monochro and Ao to Sora. It wouldn’t be complete, of course, without their previously released songs Borderline and Schadenfreude. The two tracks that don’t make an appearance on the trailer is ‘Taihaiteki’ and Jun which I assume will be interludes.
It should also be noted that INVERSE REVERSE features not one, but two songs that were released in different ways. monochro was first a music video that featured on their music video collection Develop One’s Faculties Vol.1. This is while Uitenpen wa Yononarai was part of a venue-limited collaboration single titled Nishin Kajisshin Suu, with bands Belle and Chanty, who they toured with during the last few months of 2017.
Asserter yuya utilizes his vocals in expressive ways, never making for a dull moment. From gritty vocals in Uitenpen wa Yononarai to having full verses of spoken vocals in My Name Is R&R and demonstrating his vocal clarity in Ao to Sora.
INVERSE REVERSE will be released in a regular edition featuring 16 songs in total with the limited edition adding an instrumental CD for the tracks on the album. Develop One’s Faculties has also made their entire discography available on digital streaming platforms, so if you’re vaguely interested in their music, now’s the chance to fully immerse yourself in their songs!
