ACME envisions bleakness in "WONDERFUL WORLD" video preview

ACME is on a roll this year with three singles already under their belt, but now the band will release its fourth one titled WONDERFUL WORLD on October 30. In anticipation, they have also uploaded a music video preview that shows the members shrouded in darkness as light seeps through. However, if you don’t want to wait for the full music video, the song is already available internationally to stream and download.

The band is also positioned in front of spotlights and this is made even more effective as the black and white video has been highlighted with hints of color. It also features a projection on the floor of a time-lapsed city at night with a toy train running over it.

There is, of course, the song itself that they’re performing to which is an energetic number with a heavy edge. There is also a chanting chorus that will make you want to sing your heart out.

The band describes the track as having a;

“…sophisticated emotional sound mixed with cynical lyrics that compare the real world to a disappointing theme park making it a powerful drug of a song that can change your way of life.”

ACME also have new artist photos accompanying WONDERFUL WORLD, doubling up as a collaboration with Japanese clothing brand maxsix and their new line ONEMADE. The costumes consist of black and white checkered and plaid designs contrasting with yellow and black teddy bear heads, lips, geometric shapes, Cinderella, and other abstract designs, all while they hold up black balloons.

CHISA and SHOGO collaborated with and modeled for maxsix during their time in DIV. The brand also created a live-limited T-shirt to coincide with DIV’s 2nd-anniversary performance at EX THEATER ROPPONGI.
