Plastic Tree brings their 42nd single Senzou (潜像) to be released on September 4. The announcement came with a new look for the members, as well as details on said single. The band’s new look is completely opposite to their previous promotional image, which saw the members posing in a bright room. A preview of the music video for the title-track is also available now, in which we can see the member performing in a darkroom:
The single is now available for pre-order and will be out in three editions. Limited edition A comes with a CD and DVD with both discs including Senzou, but as a music video on the DVD. Limited edition B comes with a CD with the title-track and a photo-book. And finally, the regular edition adds a B-side titled IC. The cover artwork for each edition is also unveiled.
This is the first release from Plastic Tree in a year and two months, and the second single since the release of their 14th album doorAdore from 2018. The last original effort from the band was their 41st single Inside Out, which also came out last year shortly after the album. In the meantime, we saw vocalist Ryutaro Arimura release his second solo album demo #2.
