With the coming single release from Aimer, it will be her 15th single in the seven years she’s been professionally active! You can expect to get your hands on it September 5. While the new single currently hasn’t revealed all its details yet—including its undecided release title—we do have a generous amount of preview from the (supposedly) title-track Omoide wa Kireide in form of a music video. It reveals a cheerful tune, but yet, a touching story in a perfect ratio; these ingredients really allows Aimer to truly excel!
Jumping to the visual side of things, in the music video Omoide wa Kireide, we’re able to see how this story connects with Aimer’s past music videos, such as Nemuri no Mori, Polaris, Kyoukara Omoide, Kimi wo Matsu, and Everlasting Snow. The most notable being the young girl with the red hair clip who plays the main character in all of the aforementioned stories, but in particular, the young girl’s father who plays a meaningful role.
The father does not only show up in Omoide wa Kireide, but also in Kyoukara Omoide, a music video which we are being let in to the story of how she got her teddy bear, and in Everlasting Snow where he cheers up the young girl who is now in her adolescence, and finally in Omoide wa Kireide where she’s all grown up, reminiscing about her past memories with her father—still kept her teddy bear all these years.
