Indie female band Lucie, Too will head over to Canada this May to perform in Next Music From Tokyo for a total of four shows in the cities of Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver! Check out the dates and venues below:
May 18, 2018—Toronto, ON at Rivoli
May 19, 2018—Toronto, ON at Lee’s Place
May 21, 2018—Montreal, QC at La Sala Rossa
May 23, 2018—Vancouver, BC at Biltmore Cabaret
The trio, originally from the city of Utsunomiya, is formed by main songwriter Chisato Kokubo on vocals and guitar, Kanako Sekizawa on bass and Naho Shibahara on drums. They took their name from the song Lucie, Too by US indie rock band Now, Now.
The girls just debuted with the song Lucky which was later in included in a seven-track mini-album titled LUCKY. The mini-album released on February 7 this year reaching number 10 on the iTunes US Top Music J-POP chart!
Next Music from Tokyo is an annual tour that began in 2010 and brings Canadians the opportunity to meet the unique bands from Japan’s indie and underground music scene. Tour organizer Steven Tanaka is a Toronto-based anesthesiologist responsible who looks for the best possible line-up for each edition by traveling to Japan five to seven times a year.
