DEVILOOF had already announced a new single a few days ago, which would be released under their new label, but new details have since surfaced. It was announced early yesterday that DEVILOOF’s third single will be titled Kaika (開花), meaning “to blossom” or “blossoming”. The new CD will go on sale starting April 25, and preorders will commence on February 24, according to the band’s official Twitter. The same tweet that revealed the new release title also revealed that the first limited edition will include a live track. Unfortunately, no more information is available at this time.

DEVILOOF’s new single comes after the successful release of the band’s first full album, Devil’s Proof, which saw major changes to the band’s sound, going from deathcore to a slightly less brutal metalcore and thrash sound. However, the album was still pretty great, you can ask our friendly neighborhood writer Mazohyst_kyo about it.

However, you may notice that this new title isn’t exactly the epitome of “brutal”. With such a delicate name for a single, perhaps we’ll be seeing the band’s first ballad? Time will soon tell, but what we can tell you now, is that you can most definitely start getting excited for the new music DEVILOOF will be bringing to the table.

On lesser news, if you ever wanted to know the tabs to the solo section of ESCAPE, guitarist Seiya has uploaded a handy video to YouTube where you can follow along and play the solo yourself!
