Rock music including Jrock is an area often dominated with male musicians, so once in a while on Discover Jrock Bands we would like to show you some note-worthy female Jrock bands. We love hearing a girl scream her lungs out, rocking out to a tight bass-line and roar of drums whilst we get on with our boring house chores and put up with annoying managers at work. Here is a selection of popular and also lesser known bands, all of which have which have female lead vocals, so turn up your speakers and enjoy:
A crow is white (カラスは真っ白)
Formed in 2010, the light hearted act A crow is white is a four-piece band formed of Taihei on drums, Shimizu Kohei as guitar and MC, and also Ochi-the-Funk on bass (what a name!). Last but not least, the sweet vocals of Kana Yaginuma is also the guitarist of the band. This is accompanied by the funky groove of the band which gives their sound a nice and unique vibe of summer.
