X-Japan guitarist Hide, who passed away more than 16 years ago this May, had the music he wrote finally realized through “careful” use of Vocaloid technology.
Hide had planned to put the song called “Co Gal” on the album “Ja Zoo” but died shortly before recording. This re-creation is based on the lyrics and demo he did manage to complete and will be released after two years of work. The team, which included fellow musician and apparently close friend of Hide himself INA, added effects like breathing sounds to make the voice as realistic as possible. The song was intended to satirize the popular “kogal” schoolgirl style of the time.
The song will be available on an album released by Universal Music on December 10th, three days before what would have been his 50th birthday.
